This turned out to be quite a page-turner, which I wasn't expecting from a free book. The zombies are man-made, the suspense is unnerving, the simplicity of the horror is refreshing. I wasn't particularly drawn to the characters, but on the whole I found them interesting and wanted to know what would happen to them. The sheer panic embodied in the writing was quite unnerving and I could easily imagine the fear of trying to move silently while being hunted by those you once consideed friends or family. Well-written indeed.
