About a Dragon by G.A. Aiken
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Back with the Dragon Kin, what a great place to be! The Cadwaldr siblings, their parents, their cousins... I love it. The whole Talaith-Briec relationship is pretty fun, what with the constant sniping, but the family just makes this book. And then my personal favourite, Annwyl, shows up and well, that just makes it for me.
And then there's Gwenvael.
“She’s got you there, brother.” The pair turned on him so fast, Gwenvael stumbled back against the window, almost falling out of it. “Don’t bother. I’ll accidentally hit myself in the head later.”
What's not to love? Especially the fact that he doesn't understand why his siblings keep hitting him!
I love character-driven books, I love families - born or made - who torment each other but love each other fiercely, I love battles, and dragons are my favourite shifters, bar none. This is right up there with the best.
