A Lady of Resources by Shelley Adina
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This book felt a lot more young adult than the previous four in the series - in fact, previously I was hard-pressed to remember that Claire was only 17 for much of the tale, given that she was in charge of a little flock that looked to her as an adult. This book, however, kept reminding me of Lizzie's youth, and not as favourably as I'd viewed Claire's, either. It's still a fun read, but Lizzie was a bit annoying with her petulance and blindness. At least it gave the opportunity for Claire to come riding in as the Lady of Devices, here to the rescue once again! Just a pity there was no Rosie to add a touch of humour to the flock.
