Madame Danielle Mitterand

"... as long as the values developed by mankind are not trust and brotherhood, as long as the worldwide value is this obnoxious "competition", our dream of harmony will remain ... a dream.

This necessary inversion of values will be the work of the future generations. They will make a success of it. I am sure. Every day, I can see in associations and in the "Civil Society" the birth and blossom of a different way of life which refutes profit and feeds on exchanges of knowledge and services, on creativity and that prefers to give back to Man his place in the exchanges.

I have faith in the young people of today who are continually inventing a new Art of Living and a richer and more humane twenty-first century."
