Wittier people than I have written about the hell that is Facebook, its neediness, the stupidity of friending all and sundry, the banality.
All I want to know is: why do my friends - my real-life friends - have to mention me to EVERY DAMN FORMER ACQUAINTANCE? Now I have an ex (whom I've been avoiding) and a former ... he wasn't even an acquaintance! I drove him home once when he was drunk! ... wanting to be my friend.
Why don't people just FUCK OFF?
