The job hunt continues. Today I will take MadCat to Kelly, to see if there is any work available as a data capturer for updating their records. If nothing else, it might bring in enough to pay for his car. Failing that, it's off to Mica to ask if that junior clerk position is still available.
It's untenable how a skilled fitter and artisan cannot find a position in these times. I can understand the higher-paying jobs and the managerial positions not being available; but with all the building and improvements going on around the country, getting us ready for 2010, creating more power stations for our electricity needs, how is it that someone skilled in working with turbines just can't find a damn thing?
It's been almost six months. Our options have run out.
